Post-Acne - Pitting, Scars, and Marks
Post-acne effects follow acne of every kind, and they include scarring, dark marks - or both together.
Post-acne scars form for several reasons: aggressively squeezing breakouts at home, or the absence of proper treatment, which leaves a scar in the skin tissue. There are three types of post-acne scarring - and our programme addresses them all.
How the Treatment Works
The treatment encourages the formation of new collagen fibres through the various acids in our preparations. Collagen is the substance that repairs the damage inflammation leaves in the skin.
The products also renew and exfoliate the upper layer of the skin in a controlled way, gradually reducing the depth of the scars.
The Structure of the Programme
In the post-acne series we work with dedicated preparations for daily use at home, alongside one monthly session at the clinic - a device-based treatment to heal and soften the appearance of scarring.
What to Expect
In most cases the improvement is very significant. On rare occasions, some skin responds less effectively - when it is especially sensitive to the preparations or to the in-clinic device.
Side effects: some redness may follow a session. The skin will be renewing itself and slightly sensitive, and we make sure to saturate it generously with hydrating care.
